Stillorgan Garden

Stillorgan, South County Dublin

The clients in this Stillorgan house had a bland and old garden that they wanted to transform into an entertainment space for year round use. The brief was simple but the space was tight. the result is a garden room with a glass roof to maximise sunlight and frameless glass sliders on the front of the room fitted seamlessly with the paving. Internally there is a focal mains gas fire with heaters at both ends, a bluetooth sound system and seating for a good few people. The lighting is simple and effective with 2 way controls from both the garden room and the house.
At the side of the room a hidden storage unit was built to store bikes and all garden accessories. The main garden area is paved using Travertine. The main tones within the garden are ruch textures from the hardwood paneling, the wood effect porcelain tile cladding on the feature wall and BBQ area with the whole concept softened with a good mix of planting for year round use

Customer Reference for Greenstone Landscapes
By Kevin Ronan, Stillorgan, Co Dublin.

Our objective was to clean up and ultimately maximise the use of a relatively small suburban garden. Although we had some ideas in mind, Ross helped us to understand ‘the art of the possible’. We also wanted a solution – from design through to implementation. Our objectives were not only met but greatly exceeded. Ross and the team were excellent. We handed over the keys and let them at it. We now have a garden room which is usable throughout the year – not just in the Summer months. We’re really delighted with the outcome and would definitely recommend Ross and the team.
