wheelchair garden kilbarrack

wheelchair accessible and sensory garden

Date: 16th January 2015

This garden was designed for a wheelchair user who needed to have a lot of hard space and sensory planting. As the house was higher than the garden level, ramps were required either side of the garden to allow for movement around the whole space. Various planting levels were used for ease of use for the owner. Various trees heights and styles were used along with colour and scent to create interest throughout the year. Bright colours were used on the surface to enhance light in the house and to give a really good feeling of space outside. A large storage shed was build which also doubles up as a potting shed. The large lawn area was for the clients child to play on.
