A long angled Rathgar garden with a simple brief – to give a good impact on design and make it practical.

As the back of the house is south facing, a large wood tiled terrace was created for all day sun. The tiling used picked up the internal floor of the house. To create some impact feature walls were built, some with recess’ to maintain the view down the garden from the house. Paneled lawns were designed between the walls to give enough space for kids to play on.

Down the back of the garden behind the main feature wall is the storage unit and behind that again is a garden room for chilling out in the evening
The garden room is kitted out with a Bar, TV and Sofa Sets to allow for utmost comfort after a busy day. The planting is simple using box hedging, Portugese hedging and blocks of structure and colour throughout all beds. Simple lighting is used to highlight specific features during the darker hours.
