The clients in this Stillorgan house had a bland and old garden that they wanted to transform into an entertainment space for year round use.
The brief was simple but the space was tight. the result is a garden room with a glass roof to maximise sunlight and frameless glass sliders on the front of the room fitted seamlessly with the paving. Internally there is a focal mains gas fire with heaters at both ends, a bluetooth sound system and seating for a good few people.
The lighting is simple and effective with 2 way controls from both the garden room and the house.
At the side of the room a hidden storage unit was built to store bikes and all garden accessories. The main garden area is paved using Travertine. The main tones within the garden are ruch textures from the hardwood paneling, the wood effect porcelain tile cladding on the feature wall and BBQ area with the whole concept softened with a good mix of planting for year round use
